There truly is no validation until somebody is pulling out their wallet to pay for what you’ve built. Even after that, your validation is incomplete until somebody uses your product heavily in the way it was intended. The champion customers were this for us.
When I started Skosay in 2014 I was cautiously optimistic about the opportunities that were ahead of me. The reason I say cautiously is that after you spent enough years in the corporate world you get acclimated to the saying “never get too high on the highs and too low on the lows”.
Believe it or not, Walmart was once a startup as well, just like we are. I like to throw that out there because it helps put all of our beginnings in perspective. Simply driving around Northwest Arkansas it’s easy to find new things the retailer is working on, grocery pick-up services, convenience and gas store concept, and to the store of the future, Walmart store 5260. If you want to be at the center of brick and mortar and retailer innovation, Northwest Arkansas is a great place to start.
CPG School presented by Selling to the Masses, an annual day long CPG focused conference, opened it's doors at 7am at the Northwest Arkansas Community College Shewmaker Center. After opening its doors, registering guests from all walks of business life, and providing plenty in the way of coffee and breakfast the conference began with a warm welcome from Rick West, founder and CEO of Field Agent.
